One thing I love about the holidays is getting involved in a "secret Santa" gift swap either at work or over the interwebs. I have been participating in these swaps through Instagram for the last couple of years and have made some great friends by doing so, all while helping to support other families in their adoptions. That's what is so great about these, meeting new people, getting happy mail, and helping a child have a forever family!

Here's how it works: You register and pay the $5 donation by emailing me at KAH12905@ymail.com. Once your email is received, I will send you a Paypal invoice for the $5 and once paid, will send another email with a few questions to answer about what you like. Once all entries are in, I will assign your swap partner. You will then create or purchase a gift (or gifts) for your partner and ship it to them. The spending limit is $20 max. Make sure to include a little note to introduce yourself to your swap partner. Connect with your new friend on Instagram and Facebook.

The theme for this gift swap is "Handmade Holiday". So at least one item in your package for your swap partner needs to be handmade. You can make it yourself, order it from a handmade seller (check Pinterest and Etsy for ideas), or purchase from a local business who does handmade.

So here are the specifics:

1. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE EXCHANGE IF YOU ARE NOT 100% COMMITTED TO GETTING YOUR PACKAGE IN THE MAIL BY THE DEADLINE.
UNFORTUNATELY I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT IF YOU SIGN UP AND SEND A PACKAGE, YOU WILL GET ONE IN RETURN.
I am just the middle man, and sadly there is not much that I can do if you don't get a package.  So if you will be devastated if you get gypped and send me hate mail... please don't sign up.

2. PLEASE BE KIND.
The point of this exchange is to help a family grow.  The perk is that you get to receive a fun little gift while helping that family.  If your package comes late, or you don't love it, or you never receive it, or if you send a package and don't get a gushing thank you from the recipient... PLEASE JUST REMEMBER THE PURPOSE OF THIS EXCHANGE.

3. HAVE FUN!
The spirit of this exchange is giving.  It's an opportunity to do something amazing for a sweet family, make a new friend, be blessed and be a blessing!  I cannot even begin to tell you what a joy it has been for me to be a part of exchanges like this and the new friends I have made. Please keep all that in mind and give without expectation.

5. THE COST TO PARTICIPATE IS $5.  
All of this money goes directly to the Bring Baby Hartmann Home Adoption Fund.  If you would like to have more than one swap partner, you need to pay $5 for each one.  Feel free to donate more, but we are only asking $5 per person per exchange.
