It's been too long since I have updated on what's going on with us. The holidays are upon us and I have been a busy bee crafting some fun stuff. Pretty sure this year will be handmade gifts all around. Kris is starting a second job to help with our adoption fund. He will be working at the Family Christian book store which will be a perfect fit for him. We have an Etsy shop set up now with the crafts that I have been working on so hopefully we will be able to supplement our fundraising there as well.
As you may know, we have lots of nieces and nephews and we love to spend time with them. They are crazy and fun and hilarious and monsters. That's why I call them my monster squad. This loving moniker is what has inspired the creations in our Etsy shop: Hand & Hart. Each felt plush monster has a personality that was either inspired by or created by a niece or nephew. Meet Ruckus. He is wild and crazy and a lot of fun! He wants to be the best at everything: faster, taller, stronger. His favorite thing to do is race. Red is his favorite color and he loves to eat sour candy.
Meet Whisper. She is smart and sassy! She likes to call her style: Funky Retro. She likes to read and watch movies. Her favorite color is orange and she thinks spaghetti is the best food ever.
Meet Harrrvey! Like all pirates, he loves to be on his ship. He has three gold teeth and an eye patch. He likes to keep his mustache in tip-top shape. His favorite color is blue like the ocean and when he is back on land, his favorite thing to eat is chicken nuggets.
Meet Fender! He's a rocking guy who is high energy all the time. He's great at break dancing. His favorite color is blue and his favorite food is corn dogs so he can eat on the go.
Meet Prima! You can't get much cuter than this and she knows it. She is oh so sweet. Loves fashion and all things girly. She is always telling people how beautiful they are. Her fave color is pink and she really loves to eat candy and ice cream.
Meet Loch! He is a very special monster. What is special about him? He is an autistic monster. He is very quiet and observant and a very good listener. He is super strong too. He loves the water! It's his happy place. Swimming is his favorite thing to do in all the world. He is super cuddly but also likes his space.

In other news, our home study gets started in 2 weeks! Eeek! Not exactly sure what to expect so I will update as we go along in that process with what's going on. I know that we will have 4 sessions with the case worker, two with Kris and I together, and one each with us separately.
